After a grueling year of 34 high school rodeo competitions, this four-day event held at the Wasatch County Event Complex will decide the top four national qualifiers in each event— cow cutting to bull riding.

Unlike previous years, the state finals on Saturday will pit the top 15 in each event — giving five more competitors a shot than normal.

"The thing that’s amazing is they’ll be pulling for each other," UHSRA President Shane Haviland said. "It’s an amazing show of sportsmanship and I don’t know of anything that’s much more family-oriented than high-school rodeo."

The Wasatch County Event Complex is at 415 South Southfield Road (1200 West).

Tickets for the event range from $8 per day for an adult day pass or $35 for the entire week. Tickets for ages 6-10 go from $5 per or $20 for the entire competition. Children 5 and under are free.
