Prep cycling: Hunter's Griffin wins state title race

Hunter High's Justin Griffin won a sprint to the finish to win the inaugural Utah High School Cycling League's state championship race Saturday at Soldier Hollow in Midway.

Griffin held of South Davis Composite's Zach Peterson to win the race. Peterson's second-place finish secured him the overall series points title.

Park City's Brenna Egan won the girls' race. She also won the series points title. —
