Class 5A

1. American Fork • Key win over Jordan shows Cavemen can pitch

3. Copper Hills • Two homers as the Grizzlies shredded Northridge

4. Pleasant Grove • Eight-game win streak will be tested by Juan Diego

5. Alta • Hoping a Las Vegas tournament will help season them

Class 4A

1. Maple Mountain •Â Region play got out to a hot start against Provo

2. Skyline • Spending spring break in San Diego at a tournament

3. Cyprus • Knocked down East in back-to-back games to lead Region 6

4. Salem Hills • Held last three opponents to one run or less

5. Sky View •Â Not getting the same run production it had early

Class 3A

1. Spanish Fork • Bingham shut-out was Dons' first since 2008

2. Snow Canyon • Depth of Warriors' pitching rotation is its strength

3. Juan Diego • Making out fairly well against tough preseason schedule

4. Park City • Run factory, but can be shut down by elite pitching

5. Stansbury • Has topped higher classification teams by good margins

Class 2A

1. Gunnison • Yet to surrender a single run in region competition

2. San Juan • Split with Richfield, but still hit well even in its loss

3. Millard • Got hammered by Kanab and its own errors in loss

4. Kanab • Accumulated 32 hits in only its last pair of contests

5. Beaver • Sam Myers and Colton Kreth looking strong on the mound
