Roger Ross Williams' documentary "God Loves Uganda" — debuting at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival — examines life in the African nation, and the influence of the American evangelical right on life and politics there.

Here's the description from the Sundance Film Festival: "A powerful exploration of the evangelical campaign to infuse African culture with values imported from America's Christian Right. The film follows American and Ugandan religious leaders fighting "sexual immorality" and missionaries trying to convince Ugandans to follow biblical law."

"God Loves Uganda" will play in the U.S. Documentary Competition section of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
