FRISCO, Texas • David Texeira scored two goals to help FC Dallas beat the Seattle Sounders 3-1 on Wednesday.

FC Dallas (14-10-6) avenged two early-season losses to Seattle (17-9-3) and beat the Sounders for only the second time in the past 10 meetings.

Texeira started the scoring in the eighth minute. He got behind the defense and hammered the far post. He added his third goal of the season — all against the Sounders — in the 78th minute. Andres Escobar worked his way through Seattle's defense and centered a pass to an open Texeira at the top of the 6-yard box.

In the 88th minute, Blas Perez headed a corner kick that slipped through the hands of Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei.

Seattle's Lamar Neagle tied it at 1 from distance in the 58th minute for his second goal in three games. The Sounders have given up seven goals in consecutive road losses. EASTERN CONFERENCE
