Jonesboro, Ark. • Four games into the season one thing is clear about the Utah State Aggies, with or without Chuckie Keeton, the offense just isn't where it needs to be for the Aggies to be successful.

Missed opportunities by the offense allowed Arkansas State to take a 21-14 overtime win Saturday in front of 29,029 at Centennial Bank Stadium.

The Aggies' defense nabbed an interception and recovered three fumbles Saturday, but the Aggies failed to produce any points off the turnovers.

The most devastating missed chance came in the final minutes of regulation when Arkansas State quarterback Fredi Knighten let the ball slip from his hands on a second-down play with the game tied at 14-14.

Utah State linebacker LT Filiaga recovered the ball on Arkansas State's 38-yard line with 47 seconds to play.

The Aggies moved the ball to Arkansas State's 21-yard line where they called timeout with three seconds remaining.

Nick Diaz went in to attempt a 38-yard field goal, but it was blocked, sending the game into overtime.

Arkansas State scored on the second play of overtime with a 24-yard pass from Knighten to Dijon Paschal to go up 21-14.

The Aggies' possession went just like many others had earlier in the game as they failed to put together a good drive. JoJo Natson gained only one yard on first down, then Garretson completed a 7-yard pass to Natson after an incompletion.

The Aggies still had one more chance on 4th-and-two at the 17-yard line, but a false start tacked on five more yards, forcing the Aggies to pass.

Garretson tried to thread a pass into Ronald Butler who was hit as he went to make the catch.

Butler, the ball and the Aggies' hopes of a road win came all crashing down.
