Billings, Mont. • The Orem Owlz open the Pioneer League's best-of-three championship series on Tuesday night at Billings.

Game 2 against the Mustangs will be played Thursday at Brent Brown Ballpark at 7:05 p.m. Game 3, if necessary, is scheduled Friday night.

Orem advanced to the finals by sweeping Ogden, 2-0, to win the Southern Division championship. In the clincher, Caleb Adams hit grand slam homer during a six-run second inning to lead the Owlz to a 7-4 victory on Saturday.

Orem is the Pioneer League affiliate of the parent Los Angeles Angels and Triple-A Salt Lake Bees.

The Owlz went 2-5 against Billings during the regular season, but Adams is confident.

"I don't think we're going to try to overdo it," he told MiLB.com. "We're not going to psych ourselves out or anything. We're going to take the same approach that we have all year.

"We've had a good team — a solid team throughout the entire year. We're going to go up there, play as hard as we can, take it to them as best we can and hopefully come out with a win."
