Salt Lake Bees' outfielder Brennan Boesch has officially won the Pacific Coast League batting title, it was announced Tuesday.

Boesch, in his first year with the Los Angeles Angels organization, hit .332 with 25 home runs and 85 RBIs during the season that concluded Monday. He also led the league in slugging percentage (.636). In doing so, he set a new franchise record. A 29-year old native of Santa Monica, Calif., Boesch was named to the PCL All-Star team in July and the All-PCL team at the end of the season. He was the Player of the Month in June.

Boesch is the first Salt Lake player to win the PCL batting title since Rick Short led the league with a .356 average in 2002. Five Bees players have now won the title since the 1994.
