Kyle Beckerman won’t be getting his rematch with several World Cup opponents on Wednesday.

Real Salt Lake announced Tuesday morning that its captain has withdrawn from the 2014 MLS All-Star Game against German powerhouse Bayern Munich in Portland due to a foot injury.

The 32-year-old Beckerman faced several Bayern Munich stars in this summer’s World Cup in Brazil in Group G play, going the full 90 minutes in the United States men’s national team’s 1-0 loss to the eventual World Cup champions.

Beckerman’s foot issue was described as "short term" by an RSL team spokesman, who added that the midfieler could be available for Saturday’s game against D.C. United at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Since his return from World Cup duty in early July, Beckerman has gone the full 90 minutes in six-consecutive matches, most recently in RSL’s 10-man victory over the Colorado Rapids Saturday in Commerce City, Colo.

RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando, who recently tied the all-time regular-season shutout record with 112 clean sheets will represent the club at Providence Park against Bayern Munich.

Portland defender Liam Ridgewell will replace Beckerman on the MLS All-Star roster.
