Evanston, Wyo. • Fearless Fire led all the way and prevailed in a photo finish Saturday to win the $31,062 Maiden Challenge at Wyoming Downs.
Owned by Bill Nolan and trained by Brett Vickery, Fearless Fire was sent off at 13-to-1 in the wagering and edged 7-to-5 favorite CR Luke by a nose.
Under jockey Justin Vanderwoude, Fearless Fire covered the 400 yards in 19.777 seconds and earned the winner's share of $14,289.
Racing at Wyoming Downs resumes Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
