Web.com Tour: Tony Finau tied for second after morning wave

Sandy • Lehi resident Tony Finau shot a 6-under-par 65 and tied for second place, with the morning wave of golfers having completed the first round of the Web.com Tour’s Utah Championship at Willow Creek Country Club.

Finau, a West High School graduate, made seven birdies and one bogey, taking advantage of Willow Creek’s five par-5s.

Andres Gonzales is the leader with a 62. His round featured an eagle and seven birdies. Paul Peterson matched Finau’s 65.
