J.B. Shuck continues to serve notice that he wants back in the big leagues.

Shuck went 3 for 4, drove in two runs and scored two more to lead the Salt Lake Bees to a 6-5 victory over Tacoma on Monday night at Smith's Ballpark.

Shuck, a 27-year-old outfielder, started the season in Salt Lake but was recalled by the parent Los Angeles Angels on April 9.

He stayed in L.A. for nearly a month and played 19 games before returning to the Bees on May 3 — about the same time the Angels recalled Grant Green and C.J. Cron. Both remain in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Shuck continues to be one of Salt Lake's most productive players. His two-run triple in the seventh inning proved to be the difference against the Rainers.

In the opener of a four-game series, Salt Lake wiped out a 1-0 deficit with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Shuck led off with a single up the middle and went to second on a one-out walk by Efren Navarro. The Bees loaded the bases when Ian Stewart reached on an error before Shawn O'Malley walked, forcing in the tying run. Navarro then scored on a wild pitch.

Salt Lake took a 3-1 lead when Taylor Lindsey led off the fifth with his eighth homer of the season.

After Tacoma got a run in the top of the sixth inning, the Bees countered with three more in the seventh.

Luis Martinez started the uprising with a walk. Lindsey followed with an infield single before Tony Campana bunted the runners into scoring position.

Shuck followed by tripling into the right field corner on a 3-2 pitch, bumping the Bees' lead to 5-2. Shuck easily scored on Luis Jimenez's long sacrifice fly with one out to right.

The 6-2 lead proved to be just big enough after Tacoma scored three times in the top of the ninth.

Before the game, it was announced O'Malley will replace Salt Lake teammate Brennan Boesch on the Pacific Coast League All-Star team.

The PCL will play the International League in Durham, N.C., on July 16.

O'Malley, primarily a shortstop, has played every position except for first base and catcher for the Bees this season. In his first year with the Angels' organization, he is hitting .342, including 12 doubles. —
