Lehi resident Tony Finau bogeyed three of the last four holes Sunday, falling out of the lead and settling for a tie for fourth place in the United Leasing Championship at Newburgh, Indiana.
Finau, a West High School graduate, still moved to No. 24 on the Web.com Tour money list. In August, the top 25 players will receive PGA Tour cards for the 2014-15 season.
Finau’s adventurous week included an eagle and a hole-in-one on his first two holes of the second round, on his way to a 64. But he failed to break par in the other three rounds, closing with a 2-over-par 74.
Greg Owen, who teed off more than an hour ahead of the final group, surged ahead with a 67 that included a back-nine 30 and won the the tournament by one stroke.
The Web.com Tour moves to Nova Scotia this week before coming to Willow Creek Country for the Utah Championship presented by Zions Bank, July 10-13.
