Logan • Junior college transfer Trace Cureton and Serbian native Stefan Rosic have signed with Utah State, basketball coach Stew Morrill announced Thursday.
Cureton is 6-foot-4 wing player who averaged 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds last season at Sinclair (Ohio) Community College in Dayton. He was named his conference’s Most Improved Player and helped the Tartan Pride to a 21-9 record.
"Trace ... has the skills to play all three perimeter positions," Morrill said. "He is a good shooter, a solid ball-handler and a willing defender. He is a high-character young man from a great family."
Rosic is a 6-7 forward from Kragujevac, Serbia. He played high school basketball at North Central Texas Academy in Granbury, Texas. He earned Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools all-state honors in Class 1A after averaging 29 points and nine rebounds per game.
"Stefan has a very positive upside as he matures physically and adapts to Division I basketball in America," Morrill said. "As a big, he will give us an excellent shooter and ball-handler who is developing his low-post game."
