Cedar City • Junior college forward Christian Thompson has signed with Southern Utah, basketball coach Nick Robinson announced Tuesday.
Thompson averaged 16.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots last season at Tohono O'odham Community College in Arizona.
"We are excited to welcome Christian to the Thunderbird family," Robinson said. "He brings versatility to our team … and is a great addition to our 2014 recruiting class."
Thompson joins wings Jeff Nibo from Chaffey (Calif.) College and Sherron Wilson from Clark High School in Las Vegas as the Thunderbirds' three spring signees.
