The University of Nevada baseball team defeated Utah 11-1 on Sunday in a nonconference game at Smith’s Ballpark.
Nevada outhit Utah 14-3 to split a weekend series, which was reduced to two games when Saturday’s scheduled contest was rained out.
Cody Scaggari drove in Utah’s only run with an eighth-inning single.
Utah’s Konnor Armijo broke up a no-hitter with a double in the fifth inning.
Utah starter Zach Adams took the loss, giving up four runs on three hits in four innings.
Arizona 8, Utah 3 • In Tucson, Ariz., Utah’s Bridget Castro hit a two-run single in the first inning, but the No. 9-ranked Wildcats came back to complete a sweep of the Utes (23-24, 5-15) in their three-game Pac-12 series.
New Mexico 6, Utah State 4 • In Albuquerque, N.M., the Lobos rallied past the Aggies with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
