West Valley City • The Utah Grizzlies will play Bakersfield in the first round of the ECHL playoffs.
Game 1 in the best-of-seven series is scheduled for Friday night at the Maverik Center.
Utah is the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. Bakersfield became the No. 6 seed on Sunday night after suffering a 4-1 home loss to Las Vegas.
The Grizzlies and Condors will meet for the first time in the postseason. Utah went 4-2 against Bakersfield during the regular season, including 2-0 at home.
