Stanford, Calif. • Chiney Ogwumike had 20 points and 10 rebounds as second-seeded Stanford beat North Carolina 74-65 on Tuesday night in the regional final on the Cardinal's home floor.

Mikaela Ruef scored a career-high 17 points, Amber Orrange added 14 and Bonnie Samuelson knocked down three 3-pointers for 13 points off the bench for Stanford (33-3), which had its streak of five straight Final Fours snapped last March.

Maryland 76, Louisville 73 • All-American Alyssa Thomas scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as fourth-seeded Maryland (28-6) advanced to the Terrapins' first Final Four since winning the 2006 national championship, holding off second-seeded Louisville in the Cardinals' home arena .

Irish injury report

Notre Dame forward Natalie Achonwa will miss the Final Four with a left knee injury. Coach Muffet McGraw said Achonwa tore her ACL in Notre Dame's 88-69 win over Baylor on Monday.

Achonwa was third on the team at 14.9 points per game, and led the Irish in rebounding at 7.7 per game.. —
