Longtime sportscasters Bill Marcroft and Paul James, and recreational sports advocate Kathy Taylor will receive Distinguished Service Awards during the Utah Sports Hall of Fame Foundation's annual Spring Honors Banquet on Tuesday.
The USHFF also will honor former high school coaches Deb Bennett of Salt Lake City, Paul Clark of Orem, Jim Fuller of Brigham City, Marcus Garrett of West Point, Jerre Holmes of Coalville, Davie Swensen of Wellsville and Larry Shurtliff of Enterprise during the event at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City.

Marcroft, of Salt Lake City, was the radio voice of University of Utah sports for 35 years, while also working as KUTV's sports director for most of that time.
James, of Salt Lake City, preceded Marcroft on Ute broadcasts and later became the radio voice of BYU athletics for 36 years, in addition to his KSL-TV duties.
Taylor, of Tooele, dedicated her life to developing youth sports programs and recreational opportunities for athletes of all ages in Tooele County.
