SOCCER • Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber says Atlanta, Minneapolis, Sacramento, San Diego and Texas sites are being considered as expansion cites. MLS will increase to 21 teams when New York City and Orlando, Fla., start play in 2015. The league has said it plans to reach 24 teams by 2020. Garber spoke about additional cities Thursday during a conference call to discuss the league’s purchase of the troubled Chivas USA franchise.
