After rallying to tie the game in the eighth inning, the University of Utah baseball team gave up a run in the bottom of the ninth to lose at Sacramento State 5-4 on Sunday.

Tyler Yagi led off the top of the eighth with a double and was driven in on AJ Young’s single to tie the game for the Utes (1-2). But the Hornets (2-1) got two infield singles and benefited from an error in the bottom of the ninth for the winning run.
