Freeride World Tour event moved to Snowbird
First Published Feb 14 2014 03:06 pm • Last Updated Feb 25 2014 04:43 pm

Limited snow in the Sierra Nevada Mountains has prompted organizers of the Swatch Freeride World Tour to move an early March competition to Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort.

Sponsored by The North Face, the event was scheduled for Kirkwood Mountain Resort in California. But a miserable first half of the winter convinced Freeride World Tour officials that Kirkwood’s snow conditions were not suitable for the competition.

Depending on weather, the event will be held at Snowbird sometime between March 1 and March 5, organizers said.
