Olympics on TV, Friday: Opening ceremony in Sochi

Just like every other bit of primetime Olympic coverage during the Sochi Games, NBC’s telecast of the opening ceremony is tape-delayed. Which it has to be, given that there’s a nine- to 12-hour time difference between Sochi and the continental U.S.

However, while NBC will live stream all the athletic events from Sochi on NBCOlympics.com, there will be no live streaming of the opening ceremony. If you want to see it, you’ve got to watch (or record) the NBC coverage.
