Las Vegas • Jake Wright is 2-for-4 at the $6.25 million Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
Wright, one of three brothers from Milford who qualified for the NFR, won the fourth round in the saddle bronc event Sunday night with a score of 86 points.
Wright also won the first round last Thursday night. He has earned $37,258 at the NFR and moved into second place in the world championship standings.
Wright's brother, Cody, continues to lead the race for the world title. But he has been struggling at the National Finals. After tying for fourth place on opening night, he has failed to post a score in the last three rounds.
Reigning world champion Jesse Wright has also been unable to find a rhythm at the NFR. He has completed three of four rides, but his highest score is a 79. He has not placed yet after posting a 74.5 in Round 4.
In bareback, Kaycee Feild of Spanish Fork placed fourth in the fourth round. He posted a score of 81.5 points and earned $7,812.
Caleb Bennett of Morgan also placed. His score of 81 was good enough to tie for fifth place with Austin Foss of Terrebonne, Ore. He pocketed $3,906.
In bull riding, Steve Woolsey of Payson tied for fourth with a score of 86 points. He earned $6,310.
