Stephen Curry was a major headache for the Jazz before suffering one in the fourth quarter of Golden State's 98-87 win Monday night at EnergySolutions Arena.

Curry scored 22 points before being injured with 8:50 remaining in the game. He dribbled into traffic and lost the ball. In a scramble, Utah's Marvin Williams fell on him and pushed his face into the court.

Curry was able to walk to the locker room with a towel draped over his head and, after the game, he was suffering a "nasty headache."

"I hit the ground pretty hard," he said. "But I'll be all right. ... I went to reach for the ball. I made a move and kind of lost it and went to reach for it. Next thing I know I hit the ground pretty hard. I think Marvin landed on me trying to reach for it, too."

Curry did not return to the game.

"Just trying to make sure he was all right," coach Mark Jackson said. "He took a hard spill, the way Marvin Williams landed on him. He's got a little headache right now, but it could have been worse."

Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes each scored 17 points for Golden State, which improved to 8-3 this season with its fourth straight victory.

"It's a great start," said center Andrew Bogut, who contributed eight points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots. "... I like what we're doing. We're starting to get an identity, especially defensively."

The Jazz shot only 39.5 percent from the field and Golden State out-rebounded them, 57-40.

"We are playing well," said Curry. "We're sharing the basketball and guys are taking open shots. ... More importantly, our defense is solid."
