Jazz lose fifth straight to open the season
Boston •Â In a game of runs, the Jazz couldn't complete their last one Wednesday.
Utah jumped out to a 13-point lead over the Boston Celtics, only to watch find themselves on the wrong end of a blowout as Celtics turned a 38-point swing.
The Jazz chipped away at the advantage, cutting the lead back to single digits in the fourth quarter. But costly turnovers down the stretch and some timely Boston buckets sealed the Jazz's fate. The 97-87 loss was Utah's fifth straight to open the season.
Brandon Bass had 20 points to lead the Celtics.
Gordon Hayward had 28 points and 9 rebounds and Derrick Favors had 10 and 14 boards in the loss.
