Cheney, Wash. • Weber State somehow needs to turn around its football season, which appears to be spiraling down the drain.
Unfortunately for the Wildcats, they journey to Eastern Washington on Saturday to play the sixth-ranked Eagles.
Weber State has dropped four straight games, and none has been closer than last week's 31-3 loss to Sacramento State.
The Wildcats must play far better to have a chance against Eastern Washington, which opened the season with a 49-46 win over Oregon State.
Weber State's offense averages only 273 yards and 14.4 points per game. The Wildcats have scored a total of 22 points since a 50-40 win over Stephen F. Austin in the opener.
"We have to take the responsibility to make sure we are taking care of the ball and executing our game plan," Weber State coach Jody Sears said. "We have to limit our mistakes and put our players in position to make plays." —
