Provo • Alexa Gray belted a game-high 12 kills, and Tambre Haddock added 11 kills and 12 digs, to lead BYU over Pacific 25-20, 25-9, 25-22 in West Coast Conference women's volleyball on Saturday night at Smith Fieldhouse.

The Cougars (10-3, 3-0) have won five straight and nine of their past 10 matches.

Dixie State 3, Fresno Pacific 2 • Shannon Young hit a game-high 18 kills and Alex Anderson tallied 30 digs to lead the Red Storm over the 15th-ranked Sunbirds 19-25, 25-19, 25-16, 24-26, 15-11 in Pacific West Conference play in Saint George.

Dixie State (8-3, 5-0) has won five straight matches and earned its first victory over a Division II ranked opponent since moving into the classification in 2006.

Weber State 3, Northern Colorado 2 • Rebecca Fuch smashed 17 kills and Audrey Biggs tallied 16 to help the Wildcats snap a seven-match winless streak by beating the Bears 24-26, 25-23, 15-25, 25-21, 15-10 for their first Big Sky Conference victory of the season in Greeley, Colo.

Samantha Staker had a career-high 45 assists and freshman Ciera Borho tallied a career-high 14 kills, seven digs and three blocks for Weber State (5-13, 1-3).

Sacramento State 3, Southern Utah 0 • The Hornets outhit the Thunderbirds (2-11, 1-2) .349-167 in a Big Sky Conference match in Sacramento, Calif.

Seattle 3, Utah Valley 2 • In Seattle, Macky Treanor had 19 kills and eight digs, but it wasn't enough as the Wolverines lost their first Western Athletic Conference match of the season — 25-22, 14-25, 27-25, 23-25, 15-13.

Utah Valley (8-8, 1-1) had won its past five matches before Saturday night.

Women's soccer

Weber State 3, Eastern Washington 0 • Ryley Hansen, Mackenzie Harrison and Mackenzie Day each scored to help the Wildcats remain unbeaten in Big Sky Conference play by shutting out the Eagles in Ogden.

Nathalie Schwery and Clara Elsholz each played a half in net to earn the shutout for Weber State (6-2-2, 2-0), which has won three straight games.

Northern Arizona 3, Southern Utah 2 (2 OT) • The Lumberjacks scored late in the second overtime in both teams' Big Sky Conference opener in Cedar City.

Sabrina Hernandez scored in the 53rd minute to put SUU (3-7, 0-1) ahead 1-0 . North Arizona tied the game just over 30 seconds later. Nancy Brich gave the Thunderbirds a 2-1 lead with a goal in the 63rd minute, but the Lumberjacks responded again with a goal in the 66th.

Dixie State 2, Hawaii Pacific 0 • Kimberly Thurman and Megan Marchbanks each scored in the second half to help the Red Storm win in Pacific West Conference action in Saint George.

Dixie State (3-3-1, 3-1) outshot the Sea Warriors 17-11.

Cross country

BYU • Tylor Thatcher beat Adam State's Kevin Batt by just one-tenths of a second to win the University of Minnesota's Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday, leading the No. 4-ranked Cougars to a first-place finish out of 24 teams.

Thatcher covered the 8K course in 24 minutes, 25.2 seconds. Batt finished in 24:25.3.

BYU finished with 62 points. Colorado State was second (74) and Arizona State was third (139).

Scoring for the Cougars were Jason Witt (7th— 24:34), Aaron Fletcher (15th — 24:46), Thomas Gruenewald (17th — 24:47) and Jonathan Nelson (22nd — 24:51).

Weber State • Trevor Ricks led Weber State to a 17th-place finish (490 points) at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis by placing 33rd in 25:03.

Utah • Rebekah Winterton and Susanah Hurst led Utah to a fourth-place finish at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., on Saturday.

Winterton covered the 6K course in 21:22 to finish third, and Hurst placed fourth in 21:26.

Jessica Tonn (21:00) and Aisling Cuffee (21:00) finished first and second, respectively, for Stanford, which won with 33 points. Sacramento State (83) was second and Loyola Marymount (103) was third, followed by Utah (110).
