Lake Charles, La. • Marcus Wiltz and Kelvin Bennett each rushed for over 100 yards in McNeese State's 43-6 blowout of Weber State on Saturday night.

Wiltz led in rushing with 140 yards and a touchdown for the Cowboys (4-0). Bennett was close behind with 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns of his own, one being a 50-yard run in the fourth quarter, the last score of the game.

"Our consistency hurt us and we couldn't sustain drives," said Weber State head coach Jody Sears. "McNeese State is a really good football team, but we just made too many mistakes and were not consistent."

McNeese State also managed a decent passing game, with Cody Stroud throwing for a game-high 189 yards and one touchdown. In comparison, the Wildcats got just 85 passing yards from Austin Chipoletti, who went 8 for 27 and threw two interceptions.

However, Chipoletti's 48-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Livingston staked Weber State (1-3) to a short-lived early lead about five minutes into the game.

Chipoletti threw an interception near the end of the first quarter that was returned for a touchdown, sparking a 43-point scoring streak for the Cowboys that went uncontested.

The Wildcats' only real source of offense came from senior Bo Bolen, who led the rushing attack with a season-high 90 yards on 15 carries. He also had three receptions for 32 yards.

"We had too many mistakes and didn't execute," Bolen said. "We had a good game plan coming in, we just didn't execute when we needed to. We got things going but didn't finish. We have to stick together as a team and get ready for conference play."

Weber State opens Big Sky play next Saturday when it hosts Sacramento State at Stewart Stadium in Ogden.
