Logan • The 2012 season is over for the Aggies, but the excitement of last year's 11-2, conference title-winning squad has carried over into the program's season ticket sales, which have shot to an all-time high.

Utah State athletic director Scott Barnes said the Aggies sold more than 9,500 season tickets entering Saturday's game at Weber State. It represents about a 40-percent increase of last year's total of 6,765.

Aggressive marketing has been a premium for the Aggies, who have also seen donation increases to the school's Big Blue Fund and Merlin Olsen Fund for Athletic Excellence.

Utah State scores big in first half

Before Saturday, the Aggies hadn't scored 49 points in one half in a long time — nearly 50 years.

The last time Utah State outscored an opponent 49-0 in a half was 1964, when the Aggies rolled New Mexico State in a 76-0 rout. The program also scored on its first seven possessions, matching a school-best stat also set in that contest.

Aggies induct six into Hall of Fame

Utah State had a halftime ceremony for its six new alums inducted into the school's athletic Hall of Fame.

Among those honored were two former football players, Jim Turner and Roy Shivers, who went on to play in the NFL after anchoring Aggies squads in the 1960s. Jim Laub, an Aggie booster who helped build the football complex, indoor complex and the upcoming basketball facility, was also honored.

Former All-Americans Candy Cashell and Corey Murdock represented Aggies track and field, while men's basketball star and former assistant coach Jimmy Moore was the sixth inductee.
