"Brigham Young's got a great defense. They were third in the country in total defense last year. They've got four or five pro prospects. Van Noy is as good a player as there is in the country."

Brown on BYU's rushing attack:

"Our players are smart. They get it, and they understand we didn't get our jobs done tonight as players or coaches. We couldn't stop the run and we couldn't make third and fourth and short. That's basically the story of the game."

Davis on when it got away:

"This game is based on momentum. You got to execute on third and one and sustain some third and longs. We just didn't execute well."

Jeffcoat on what Hill did to them:

"We didn't keep the quarterback contained and that was a problem of ours. We needed to keep the quarterback contained."

Jeffcoat on the roughing the kicker penalty:

"It was a big momentum change. We had them stopped and we would have had the ball with a chance to score. ... So it is tough and no one likes to lose, but it happened. We are going to go back to the film, get it back together and bounce back and get ready for the next one. You can't let a loss beat you twice."
