Cody Hoffman played, after missing the Virginia game with hamstring issues, and moved to No. 3 on the BYU career receptions list with two catches vs. Texas. He now has 205 catches and trails only Margin Hooks (215) and Dennis Pitta (221).

Brown's overall summary of the game:

"We're very disappointed in the loss. We knew we had to stop the running game coming in; we talked about it all week. We missed assignments, we missed tackles, and they ran the ball up and down the field."

Brown on the emotional toll:

"Guys are disappointed. Coaches are disappointed. We've got to go back and regroup and do a better job against Ole Miss next week."
