BYU delivers a Texas-sized butt-kicking, wallops No. 15 Longhorns, 40-21

Jamaal Williams rushed for a career-high 182 yards.

Cody Hoffman played, after missing the Virginia game with hamstring issues, and moved to No. 3 on the BYU career receptions list with two catches vs. Texas. He now has 205 catches and trails only Margin Hooks (215) and Dennis Pitta (221).

Defensively, senior Skye PoVey had a career-high nine tackles, eight solo.

Texas saw its 13-game nonconference road win streak snapped.

"We're very disappointed in the loss. We knew we had to stop the running game coming in; we talked about it all week. We missed assignments, we missed tackles, and they ran the ball up and down the field."
