A few minutes after BYU football coach Bronco Mendenhall met with reporters and said that the team's captains this year would include three former walk-ons (JD Falslev, Skyler Ridley and Uani Unga) and safety Daniel Sorensen, All-America linebacker Kyle Van Noy appeared in the football offices lobby.

At the end of this video, Van Noy talks about how he's not disappointed that he wasn't made a captain by his teammates.

"No, it doesn't really matter. It is a team decision, and I am happy about the captains we have," Van Noy said. "They are really good players, and really good leaders. I think it will help out our team. I am still a leader. I don't have to be a captain to be a leader. It is just going out and flipping a coin toss. I don't think I have the best luck in the world, anyway. So I think I will just enjoy running out the tunnel and being a leader that leads by example."
