Vail, Colo. • Tejay van Garderen raced to a 4-second victory in the individual time trial Friday to extend his overall lead after five stages in the USA Pro Challenge. Van Garderen, the BMC rider from Bozeman, Mont., completed the 10-mile uphill time trial in 25 minutes, 1 second.
