Minor league baseball: Matt Shoemaker pitches gem to lead Salt Lake over Round Rock

Matt Shoemaker allowed just five hits while striking out six and walking none to help the Salt Lake Bees win on the road, 5-1, against the Round Rock Express on Friday night in minor league baseball.

John Hester had three RBIs and scored twice for the Bees (69-51).

Owlz rout Raptors

Michael Fish knocked in four runs and Alex Allbritton hit a triple and had two RBIs as the Orem Owlz won at home against the Ogden Raptors, 10-5.

Brandon Bayardi knocked in two runs for the Owlz (26-22), who scored six runs in the first inning.

Austin Cowen hit a home run for Ogden (25-23).
