USU, BYU golfers earn scholar honor

Utah State's Tanner Higham and BYU's Jordan Hammer were named to the 2013 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars teams, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America for Divisions I, II and the NAIA. The team includes 152 players in Division I.

To be eligible for the GCAA honor, the individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 and must be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
