Sky Sox hammer Bees

All nine members of the Colorado Springs starting lineup had at least one hit as the host Sky Sox beat the Salt Lake Bees 12-5 in a Pacific Coast League game Sunday afternoon, avoiding a four-game series sweep. The Bees head into the All-Star break with a 54-44 record, just one game behind Pacific Northern Division-leading Tacoma.

Chris Nelson led the Bees with three hits, including a double and a home run, and three RBIs.

Owlz 8, Mustangs 6 • In Orem, Cambric Moye's solo homer sparked a four-run seventh inning that lifted the host Owlz to the win over Billings in the Pioneer League game. Mark Shannon and Jose Rondon had three hits each for Orem.

Brewers 6, Raptors 3 • In Helena, Mont., the host Brewers scored three runs in the eighth inning for the win.
