Real Salt Lake's staycation is over.

After winning six of its seven consecutive matches at Rio Tinto Stadium over the last four weeks in Sandy, RSL sets out on a quick cross-country trek to Canada, where the team has never won.

More specifically to BMO Field in Toronto, where RSL is 0-3-2 lifetime.

But if the recent string of domination in league play and U.S. Open Cup play is any indication of how hot the team really is, RSL is primed to snap its winless streak in Canada.

"We feel like when we can take it to the other team and put them on their heels a little bit, we're playing our best soccer," defender Chris Wingert said. "We're going to continue to try to do that no matter where the game is, whether it's here or in Toronto or anywhere else."

Forward Robbie Findley said the quick turnaround — RSL defeated the Carolina RailHawks 3-0 to advance to the Open Cup semifinals Wednesday — is another step to prove its recent home streak can be translated onto the road.

Team ownership has paid for a charter flight in order for the team to make it to Toronto a day early and give the team a day of light training.

"It's a good thing these games are coming fast," Findley said. "Trying to get the rest in and take care of our bodies, but it is good to be playing again very quick. Of course we've been on a run and we've got to try and take that momentum on the road now."

Toronto FC is the third-worst team in Major League Soccer, having won just two of its first 15 matches, but RSL coach Jason Kreis said the team's previous misfortunes at BMO Field aren't worth centering on.

"I think there's a few spots where we don't do so well, and it seems like everybody wants to talk about them," Kreis said. "We do pretty well in most places, and our record speaks for itself — we don't have to make apologies for why we can't win in one place or another."

On Saturday morning in Toronto, Real Salt Lake has a chance to eradicate previous nightmares north of the border and continue its torrid streak.
