Nick Jenson, a 6-foot-6 forward from Bakersfield, Calif., who played at Utah Valley as a freshman and SLCC last season, has signed a letter of intent to play for the Westminster men's basketball team. He is the third student-athlete to commit to the Griffins for the upcoming season.

Jenson went on a LDS Church mission following the 2010 season. He returned to play for Salt Lake Community College last season where he helped the Bruins to a 29-4 record and a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament.

Jenson shot 43.6 percent from the floor and grabbed 2.9 rebounds per game for SLCC last season. He blocked 10 shots during the year while scoring 63 points in 32 games played. Jenson averaged 18 points and 13 rebounds per game as a senior at Centennial and was named first team all-section. He was named to the Dean's List last year at SLCC.
