Utah State golfer Tanner Higham was selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District VIII men's at-large first-team.

Higham, a junior from Shelley, Idaho, has a cumulative 3.98 grade point average. He majors in nutrition, dietetics and food sciences.

District VIII is made up of schools from Arizona, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah and Washington, and the men's at-large team includes the sports of fencing, golf, hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.

Higham finished the season tied for 11th at the 2013 Western Athletic Conference Championships with a 9-over 225 (73-74-78) helping Utah State finish in sixth-place in the 10-team field with a 51-over 915 (292-312-311).
