A news report indicates that Utah State is getting a new cornerback transfer from SEC country.

Daniel Gray, a 2012 Tennesee signee, will transfer to Utah State this fall, according to Eric Woodbury of Go Vols Xtra. Gray went to Boyd Anderson in Florida, the high school of Aggies receivers Travis Reynolds and JoJo Natson.

Last year, Gray saw action in eight games with only six total tackles and started once as a freshman. A coaching change at UT seemed to bolster a decision to leave the Volunteers and join the Aggies. In an announcement on his Facebook page, he cited Natson as his best friend.

Gray would likely sit out a year before seeing any action at cornerback. Next season, defensive back could be a toss-up position with some of the team's top talent graduating.
