Horse racing • Kentucky Derby winner Orb has drawn the rail as the 1-1 favorite in Saturday's Preakness and has been installed an overwhelming even-money favorite in the nine-horse race.

Orb will seek to keep alive his bid to become horse racing's first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978. Orb won the Derby by 2½ lengths as the betting favorite.

The brown colt is looking for his sixth straight victory as part of the smallest Preakness field since 2007.

Donovan leads L.A. in win over Union

Soccer • Landon Donovan scored one goal and added two assists to lead the Los Angeles Galaxy past the Philadelphia Union 4-1 Wednesday night in Chester, Pa.

Robbie Keane scored once and had an assist, while Hector Jimenez also scored for the two-time defending MLS Cup champion Galaxy (5-3-2), who snapped a rare two-game losing streak with three second-half goals.

Iran tops U.S. in wrestling exhibition

Wrestling • Iran defeated the United States 6-1 in a wrestling exhibition at Grand Central Terminal.

Cheered on by a large, loud contingent of fans waving Iranian flags, the wrestling power dominated Wednesday in its first trip to the U.S. in a decade. Youngster Kyle Dake was the lone bright spot for the Americans, winning in his first major senior-level international match.
