Deerfield, Ill. • Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau says Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich and Derrick Rose will sit out Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Miami Heat on Friday night.

Thibodeau spoke at the team's morning shootaround.

Deng became sick during the first-round series against Brooklyn and has been dealing with complications stemming from a spinal tap. He will miss his fifth straight game, while Hinrich will sit out his sixth in a row because of a bruised left calf.

The veteran guard underwent a second MRI this week. Thibodeau said the results were "basically" the same as the first, although Hinrich's feeling better.

Rose has not played since tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in last year's playoffs. The series is tied 1-1.
