New Orleans • With Thursday's 2-1 PCL victory over New Orleans, the Salt Lake Bees ended both a five-game overall losing streak as well as a franchise-record nine-game road skid.

Five Salt Lake pitchers combined for a five-hitter, and the Bees' offense mustered just enough production early for the win.

Trent Oeltjen started the game with a double, stole third base, and scored on Roberto Lopez's single.

In the second, Salt Lake scored what proved to be the game's decisive run. Brad Hawpe and Bill Hall walked, Matt Young put down a sac bunt, Zephyrs third baseman Matt Downs threw the ball away, and Hawpe scored.
