Trey Kennedy, a guard from Las Vegas, Nev., has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for Southern Utah.

Kennedy, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard from Bishop Gorman High School, averaged 12.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists while serving as a team captain in 2013 during the Gaels' (29-3) second straight state championship.

"We are excited to welcome Trey and his family to Southern Utah," SUU coach Nick Robinson said. "Trey comes from a great family, a championship high school program, and has been well-coached during his career. He brings additional leadership and versatility to the Thunderbird backcourt."

Kennedy brings the Thunderbirds' list of signees to six for the class of 2013.
