Utah Valley's Mason Casper was named Player of the Year, while Weber State's Jordan Herzog was a first-team selection when the 2013 All-American Sky Golf Conference squad was announced Thursday.

Southern Utah's Jake Holt, Sammy Cole and Tim Leonard all earned second-team recognition Holt, a junior from Tooele, led the Thunderbirds with a 73.5 stroke average, while Leonard, a sophomore from Christchurch, New Zealand, was just behind Holt at 73.6. Cole, a sophomore from Aliso Viejo, Calif., ranked third on the team at 74.1 strokes per round.

Casper won the top player honor for the second consecutive season. He will now wait for an at-large bid to the NCAA Regionals, which will be announced Monday.
