Snow College added backcourt depth and an inside presence to its men's basketball roster with the signing of Chandler Smith, a 6-foot-3 guard from Mountain Crest High, and 6-foot-11 Nate Aland from Murray High.

Aland led Murray in scoring (15 points) and rebounding (8.6) as a team captain this year. Aland recorded a triple-double in an early season game against West with 24 points, 13 rebounds and 11 blocked shots.

Smith served a LDS Church mission after graduating from Mountain Crest High School in 2009. Smith orginally signed to play basketball at Utah State. He averaged 14 points per game in his senior season at Mountain Crest and was named to the 4A All-State Second Team.
