Matt Young hit a grand slam in the eighth inning, but the Salt Lake Bees couldn't recover from a poor start in a 6-5 loss at the Sacramento River Cats in PCL baseball Thursday night.

Bees' starting pitcher Orangel Arenas allowed six hits and six runs in 12⁄3 innings. Four Bees pitchers combined to throw a three-hitter for the remainder of the game.

Salt Lake outhit Sacramento 11-9.
