Athens, Greece • AEK Athens will be relegated from the Greek league after officials deducted three points from the team for fan violence at a match last weekend.

A disciplinary board Friday also ruled that last Sunday's match would be awarded to relegation rival Panthrakikos 3-0.

AEK fans stormed the field after the team fell behind 1-0, and the game was stopped in the 88th minute.

With one game remaining, the penalty means AEK will finish second-to-last in the 16-team standings, with both bottom clubs relegated.

The team was also docked two points for the start of next season, and fined $9,100.
