For the first time, the Westminster men's golf team achieved an outright tournament victory. The Griffins used a final round 284 on Tuesday to win the Westminster Invitational at Wingpointe Golf Course with a total score of 856.

The Westminster women finished third after a final round 329 gave them a total of 1,002 strokes.

The Bruin men finished in a tie for first at last year's Lewis-Clark State Invitational.

Dane Jensen shot a final round of even-par 72 to claim the individual title and sweep the three Frontier Conference events of the season. He finished this tournament at 211 to place one stroke in front of Jason Molner of Lewis-Clark State.

Matt Bushman and Robert McKee finished tied for fourth with a three-round score of 215.

The Griffin women placed third behind Lewis-Clark State at 934 and Rocky Mountain at 966. The 329 shot by Westminster on Tuesday was the team's best round of the tournament. Jenteal Jackson closed out the tournament with a 75 to finish second with her total score of 229. Heather Bruce of LCSC rode her opening round 69 to the individual title at 222.
